This is a great newitem, and can be used on different make and model Revolvers other than the 1858 Remington Army.
This item can serve manypurposes, such as:
1. Makes the Cap easier to grasp when putting them on the Cylinder Nipple.
2. Helps prevent spent Caps from wedging into the Revolver action.
3. Prevents moisture from contaminating the perc. caps& powder when having a pre-loadedcylinder. (pull down overthe Nipple a bit)
4. Helps reduce the risk of \'Chain-Fires\" because live caps will stay on and not exposing live chamberflash holes.
Some of these are tight fitting, so too help out,Iputone ona blunttaperedpencil end, (to widen the hole) and then insert the Perc. cap(See the Pic\'s)
