This is one of those situations where condition is important to the price. You know, we judge outfits by the popularity and the rarity, but we also look at condition. In this particular case the outfit is in excellent condition, and that is in itself \'rare\' for something that is 65 years old! This untagged outfit is from Vogue\'s \'Frolicking Fables \' Series of 1951. It is pictured on p. 97 of the purple covered Izen/Stover book--right in the same series as the \'TV Hostess\' which I just listed.
Everything about this outfit is pristine with no rips, repairs, spots, stains. marks, or faded areas. The outfit consists of a pair of special vintage socks that are long and made of a jersey type material, an adorable pantaloon slip/panty combination--all lacey and frilly. a dress with a sheer organdy white bodice and a blue cotton skirt, and a sheer white organdy apron. Take a look at the quality and clean look of each of these pieces. This sale is for this outfit ONLY, and all the pieces are there except for the black vintage shoes. It just so happens that I have a pair of black satin tie shoes to list in another sale. And, if you prefer black cs shoes for this outfit, I see several currently listed on by other sellers.
