PVS Series Air Actuator Operating Principle:
Pressurized air isintroduced to Port A that forces the pistons outward. It causes the springs to compress and the piston turns counterclockwisewhich closes the valve. Meanwhile air is being exhausted from portB (SeeDrawing 1)
When the pressurized air is not applied to Port A, the air pressure loss. The compressed springs extend and forces the pistons inward. As the springs extend, it rotate the actuator and the pinion turns clockwise which opens the valve. (See Drawing 2)
