If you prefer to have eggs shipped at a later date, I can also schedule them as so and save the eggs close to those dates.
**During extremely cold weather, please use your own best judgment on deciding to order hatching eggs during the winter. We are unable to put a heat pack in the shipping box because it may begin the eggs’ incubation time. I can not ship when temperatures are below freezing at night.
Eggs are collected twice a day and will be fresh when shipped. Fertility is checked often and I have had a High hatch rate. Eggs are usually shipped within 1-4 work days,( temperature permitting) so we can provide you with the freshest eggs possible using USPS priority mail. I avoid shipping on the weekend when possible because I have found there to be a higher chance of delay. Sometimes, Priority mail takes longer than expected. This is out of our hands. With the eggs being fresh, they should be good for at least 10 days. If they still don\'t arrive, we can make arrangements to get some more sent. We do our best to pack the eggs securely and safely. I recommend letting the eggs rest a day once you receive them before incubation. Please keep in mind, these are embryos, due to the shipping and mishandling that may occur along the way, along with incubation issues, we have no control over the hatch rate once it leaves our hands. Ayam Cemani\'s are a breed from Java, Indonesia. The beak, tongue, comb, waddles, meat, organs and bones appear black. The Roosters comb and waddles will appear reddish as they mature. Cemani\'s black color is a result of excess pigmentation of the tissues which is caused by a genetic condition \"fibro melanosis\". Some chicks may have white toes or white on the wings and usually goes away with the first molt. This breed has a high cull rate.
They will start laying at a young age and lay cream colored eggs. Their egg production is approximately 80-120 eggs per year. Hens weigh up to 4.5 lbs and Roosters weigh up to 7 lbs. Adults feather coloring are black and with a purple-green sheen to their feathers in the sunlight.
