Purchased from the estate of Esther Coopersmith. If you\'re not familiar with this person, just research her name on-line and you\'ll see her importance and past position in the Washington, DC political circles. This listing is for a set of ten, 10 1/2\" dinner plates by Copeland Spode, created for Tiffany & Co., New York. Each is marked with the green Copeland Spode mark and the Tiffany Mark. On those plates which the incised mark is legible, we believe the date code is 1927. Nine of the ten plates are in excellent, near pristine condition with no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. Just the slightest evidence of use. The tenth plate is equally as brilliant; however, there is a small, very thin chip on the underside near the rim. Not readily visible from the topside view of the plate (see last two photos). On all plates, the gold embellishments are extremely strong, the blue base color is deep and vibrant, and the glaze has a nice, high sheen. Outstanding condition for nearly 100 year old plates. Please review all photos for overall design, dimensions, and condition. Click on each for a larger, expanded view. Photos do contain measurements and price listed is for all 10 plates.
