A gentlemen who has housed bee\'s for over 40 years recently contacted me and told me his story. He set up boxes in the vineyards of central VA. and harvested honey. Bee\'s were his life. He sold his goods at craft shows, Farm Shows and in the Vineyard Gift Shops for many years and due to health reasons has toned down his activities. So he harvested and filtered his honey and contacted me to sell it. When I asked him about the sources of honey (such as wild flowers, clover etc). he said that it varies. In the spring the bees hit the grape flowers. Then move on to wildflowers in the moutains and finish the year in the sunflower fields near the vineyard. He thinks that\'s why his honey is so well balanced. The sunflowers give it darkness and bold flavor. VERY LIMITED SUPPLY.
This honey is fantastic tasting. Each container is USDA approved for food USE. We will ship this in a never used 12 lb. pail and the pail will be inside a Doube Walled mint condition box. The container and box alone cost us $11. But the safe arrival of your product is our biggest concern.
Please remember, if not opened, HONEY CAN LAST FOREVER. Even if crystalized, just warm it up and the product will be fine. we just have to follow the guidelines of certain states that say we have to put a guaranteed exp date if opened and exposed to oxygen. we set it at 5 years. If you are storing for long term storage. store between 65 degrees and 85 degrees for best results.
Please understand. NO child under the age of 1 should eat honey. Some recommend under the age of two. please google this subject if you have any doubt.
