11\" Antique Jambati Singing Bowl from Nepal For Sale

28 cm wide (around 11 inches), 12 cm high (around 5 inches), 2.1 kg. Pitch E3+Nepalese (\'Tibetan\') antique Jambati between 100 & 390 years old according to my source. From my personal collection. Bowl is in good physicalshape with no obvious cracks or flaws; hammer marks are fairly clear except on the bottom which is fairly flat and smooth. There are minor copper inclusions here and there on the floor and sides of the bowl. Features a graceful and well-placed inscription near the rim. Artwork is generally clear with minor signs of wear. Patina is largely intact with no signs of recent polishing or scrubbing. Bowl is overall smooth to the touch and pleasant to hold. Bowl sings easily with a suede wand with a mellow and rounded \'om\' sound. Striking with the wand produces a range of tones and overtones, with some quite high overtones produced. Using a mallet results in a rounder sound with a more pronounced \'om\'.(Sound samples and embedded videos are apparently no longer allowed on E-Bay, but a sound sample of this bowl has been posted to my SoundCloud page.
