DESCRIPTION: Early, most likely from the 1840\'s 1/4 plate daguerreotype of a younger married couple in original case with mat, glass and preserver and original seal. Case has an embossed basket image on it. Mat is textured brass and smooth silk liner is purple. The actual dag size seems to be a 1/6th plate with 1/4 plate mat and case.
Image is in very good condition, with some nominal aging.
