1930-40\'s Slingerland Maybell Parlor Guitar:
$62.00

For your consideration I offer you this \"parlor\" sized flat top Slingerland
\"Maybell\" guitar from what I guess is either the late 1930\'s to the early 1940\'s,
they are becoming quite collectible. This has a 24\" scale and the lower bout is 13\".
Slingerland is primarily known as a drum manufacturer but they put their name
on banjos and guitars in the early part of the twentieth century.
It was probably made by the Harmony or Regal company of Chicago.
This instrument is all here with exception of tuning machines and will need some work to make
it playable. There are a few cracks and a split on the back which needs to be glued together.
One internal brace needs to be reglued just below the sound hole.
This was a fairly desirable guitar when it was new and will sound great after the repairs
have been made.
The finish is in good condition and the original decal on the lower bout is near perfect.
there is wear on the fingerboard and some of the frets need attention.
In all, this is a handsome, double bound, solid wood instrument that could be a real player.
