1940 VINTAGEPARLOR GUITARSUPERTONE, HARMONY \"THE PREP\"
This is acool oldguitar, built in ChicagoI would guessin the 1940 these usually have a date inside, IT LOOKS LIKE A 40 the paper label is aged but is present. Built by Harmony, Supertone was the Brand name the Sears company used in those days. It is in Fair- Good condition overall, it would be an amazing display guitar or a player.
Has a nice set of vintage tuners, very likely original, the adjustable wood bridgeis original and a very cool rarely seen tailpiece. Scale length 24 \", nut width approx.1 7/8\"+ or - frets look pretty good, probably not played a lot. I assume it has been a display guitar most of its life and I think it is best suited for that.
Please take a good look at the pictures they give a good look at the condition of this guitar. The guitar is playable and would be a nice addition to a collection. And its priced reasonable.It does not come with a case.
From my inspection I believethis guitar is all solid woods most harmonys from this era were.
