1930s Style Evening Gown Black and Pink Flamenco Dress Sz 6

A beautiful 1930s style black flamenco evening gown made of black jersey with spaghetti straps, a fitted bodice and hips, and a wonderfully draped full flamenco skirt with a pink chiffon underskirt hanging below the black. The bodice has a split front and is lightly boned and lightly padded to eliminate the need to wear undergarments. There is slight, flattering rushing on each side seam at the waist, and there is a matching pink flower on the left shoulder that is encrusted with rhinestones and full of glitter. The skirt is knee length at the front and drapes down to floor length at the back. This provides wonderful alluring legs as well as tremendous movement with the fluttery two layered skirt. The gown has a squared offneckline front and back, and it goes on over the head with no fastenings. The gown is unlined except from mid-thigh down where there is a pink chiffon underskirt. The dress has a label \"City Triangles\", and it was quality made in the USA. The dress has the following approximate measurements:

• bust (pit to pit) 34\"
  
• waist 24\"
• hips 34\"
  
• shoulder to hem 40\" front and 57\" back
  

These measurements are approximately equal to a size 6, even though the dress is labelled a medium - it is a small. The dress has significant stretch because of the fabric, the gown hugs and flatters the figure of my US size 6 model. The fabric is a beautiful weight jersey that is 92% polyester and 8% spandex, and it has a silky hand and a wonderful drape. This dress was probably made in the 1990s or maybe before, but it has all the elements of an original 1930s dress - the bare shoulders, the fitted bodice and hips, the flamenco skirt. The dress has no condition issues that I could find. It is, however, a vintage garment that is at least 25 years old, and there may be minor signs of age related wear, such as tiny pulls, or loose threads - although I did not see any. The dress is fresh and clean with no underarm issues (although I did not launder it), and it is ready to wear to your 1930s affair or to any event that requires dramatic black dress. Picture it with opera length black or pink gloves (not included)and a 1930s hat such as the one shown with it (no included) - also very 1930s. Please be aware that vintage clothing is neither new nor perfect. In many cases,vintage clothing has been worn and is no longer new, and that is why it is such a good bargain. Excellent antique or vintage condition rarely means new - do not expect new or perfect as there will almost always be some signs of wear, especially with older items. Sometimes we sell newer vintage items that are new old stock (NOS) so they have never been worn and can be in such excellent condition that there are no signs of wear. But some of the garments we sell are 75 years old or more, and even if they were never worn, the fabric may show signs of wear just from being stored all those years. Please assume that older vintage and antique items may have a little dust and/or a few age spots, unless we have specifically stated that we have recently laundered the item. Nevertheless, vintage is a great way to dress extravagantly without having an extravagant budget. You can often find extraordinary examples of antique, vintage or designer items that are wearable textile art and will make you look like a million bucks!

We accept only Paypal. We expect payment on completion of the purchase. We would be happy to hold items for up to 2 weeks to combine shipping. However, we appreciate payment at the end of each sale and you must contact us immediately about the possibility of combining shipping as we ship paid items very promptly.

Canadian buyers must pay GST on the Canadian dollar amount of the sale and shipping and handling. Please wait to pay until you receive your invoice for the correct tax amount for your province.

Shipping

We ship by Canada Post. We use flat rate shipping with one rate for the continental USA and another for international for most items. If an item is very large or heavy, the flat rate shipping will be slightly more. We only ship by tracked method, so please do not ask us to send your item untracked - tracking protects both the buyer and the seller.

We charge only what the post office charges us to ship. We do not charge handling and packaging fees. We are sorry if you feel that the shipping cost are high. Please remember we have no control over Canada post rates.

For international customers, flat rates should be provided for UK and EU customers. If a shipping rate is not provided, please contact us for the rate. We will not ship items marked as a gift. Customs, duties, brokerage fees can be considerable depending on the item, so please check with your local customs office to determine these charges before buying. We do not know what these fees will be, if any, for your country - you must check with your own customs office. Customs, duty and international brokerage fees are not part of the shipping costs and they are the buyers responsibility. We have no control over delays at customs, and because of this can only estimate delivery times to international buyers based on an assumption that there will be no delays at customs.
