Toc H is an international Christian movement who set up Talbot House - Toc H (Toc being the letter \'T\' in signals spelling) as a rest and recreation centre in Belgium during World War I. Originally it was a men only organisation but the League of Women Helpers was founded in the 1920s to support the Toc H movement. The movement still exists, but in a voluntary form. (Thanks to Wiki).
In a brass color metal, possibly having a gilt wash. In the form of an ancient oil lamp with a flame at one end and a Cross at the other end. In the centre there are raised, inter locking letters of T H for Talbot House, and raised L.W.H. for league of Women Helpers. Pin badge fitting to the rear. There are no maker\'s marks. The badge measures approximately 27 mm by 21 mm at the extremities.
Quite a sought after badge.
In good condition. Un-cleaned but not dirty, it may benefit from a light clean and polish.
