1939 NY Worlds Fair Glass Button Covers / Cabochons / Trylon & Perisphere- Rare For Sale

This listing is for six glass buttoncovers or jewelry pieces, We are not really sure what these were originally used for. Each piece is approximately 3/4 of an inch across. The top is smooth and cabochon like. They are reverse painted images of the center piece / theme building of the 1939 New York Worlds Fair, the Trylon and Perisphere. The image was pressed into the glass before it was painted, we assume they were made in a mold to create the intaglio like image. They are amazingly detailed for their size. They are in very good condition for such tiny glass pieces that are over seventy-five years old. Please examine the pictures and feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will do our best to answer them. These may be able to be attached to blank button backs or earring backs but we have left that up to the buyer. We found them just wonderful.
