1940\'s \"Automatic Radio\" Model TV-710 Miniature Consolette 7” TV For Sale

Rarely offered 1949 Automatic Radio model TV-710 miniature consolette 7” TV. Cosmetics of the small, all-original cabinet are rough. The top and face can be refinished, sides and lower front will need to be re-veneered, lots of chips and sections missing, especially around the bottom edges. Has all of the original knobs but no back and AC cord is long gone. New decals including the “Automatic Radio” logo can be bought, pieced together here: http://www.radiodaze.com/

Chassis/electronics appear to be complete and mostly all-original. All the tubes are there and untested. The picture tube itself was quickly tested on a working set and it lights up, see pictures below.

I did not and will not “plug it in”. I buy, sell and collect vintage TV’s, I do no electronic restorations/repairs. I am selling this set as pictured, as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns. The important thing is the chassis appears to be all there with no known missing electronic parts so it is valuable as a true antique or restored if desired. For safety reasons an AC cord is not included. This 60+ year old TV must be looked over, safety checked and repaired/restored by a qualified technician before use.

TV measures 39” tall, 22 1/2” wide, 16 1/2” – 18 1/2” deep at the top, 16” deep at the bottom and weighs 55 lbs. It will measure approximately 43” tall, 27” wide, 23” deep and weigh 65 lbs. when packed. Good, strong packing supplies including 2” thick hard Styrofoam to line the box will cost $40. Because this is considered “oversized” FedEx Ground shipping will cost approximately $210 - $260 depending on where you live. It is too large for USPS and UPS is about $40 higher.

I am offering this TV as \"Pick-up Only\" because of the high cost of shipping it FedEx Ground. Palatalized truck freight may cost less depending on where you live and if you are willing to pick up at a terminal rather than door delivery. I have a \"Pick-up/Delivery Guy\" who runs from OH to many places in the Midwest to New England to Florida and many spots near and in between. If you have time to wait he may be able to deliver by blanket wrapped (no packing costs) service for a reasonable price.
