1956? Vintage Harmony Sovereign Acoustic-1856H1203 Grand Concert Guitar?:
$125.00

This sale is for a harmony Sovereign Acoustic guitar that I believe was made in 1956. I think it is the Grand Concert Model but I\'m not positive? And it is the same guitar that was on a few days ago. Someone gave me some info on it and it turns out the bridge was mounted backwards, so I took it off and mounted it the right way and got rid of the bracketed tailpiece that was never supposed to be on it in the first place. I bought this at an sale and the bridge and tailpiece were already on it so it is now correct. There are a few tiny putties hole were the screws for the bracketed tailpiece were and on the back side opposite the sound hole there is a small ripple in the wood and it can also be felt by sticking your hand in the sound hole so it\'s not splitting at all its just a small rippled area about the size of a baseball. None of the wood is split anywhere on it and nothing is separating, its in real nice shape aside from the obvious scratches that can be seen in the photos. There is also a few areas around the bridge that are a little lighter then the rest of the guitar, these are just areas that got a little scratched from removing the bridge and then were sanded out and re-lacquered. The neck is nice and straight and the fret board is also. The fret board may have been sanded at some point since there looks to be some verticle scratches on it, I don\'t know if this is in the wood grain or not? The space between the top of the 12th fret and bottom of the 6th string is around 3/16\"-1/4\". The serial no. reads: 1856H120, I think the 3 has worn off? I believe this model came out in 1957 which I\'m assuming would make this guitar the first year they came out. It has the pinless bridge and no pick guard. The body measures 15-1/4\" wide and tapers from 3-7/8\" down to 3-9/16\". The overall length is around 40-1/2\". It also comes with a case but the case is in terrible condition and one of the hinges is broken so it\'s basically just to keep dust off. I will also send a very old looking capo that is missing the cork and or rubber so it is not usable but I\'m sure can be repaired. Please look closely at all off the photos and judge the condition for yourself.
I only ship within the U.S.. Please pay within 4 days to avoid an unpaid item case from being opened. All payments must go through Paypal. I do not accept returns so please be sure of your offer before placing it. Thank you.
