A gorgeous 60 Starliner.

Had extensive restoration 20 years ago, and kept in dry heated storage since.

Complete new interior, including seats, carpet, headliner, etc. Complete window, windshield, door, and trunk seals.

Both bumpers re-chromed. All 4 tires were replaced. Transmission rebuilt. All engine gaskets replaced. Car painted. New Holley 4v carb. Complete dual exhaust system from engine back, including headers. Original engine was replaced with a 351 Ford engine and what appears to be a C-4 transmission. Valve covers say 351 Cleveland.

Since I\'ve owned the car I replaced the in-tank fuel pickup and sending unit, the battery, and the alternator. Added a gauge set. Lubed the speedo cable.

Replaced the crankshaft bearings and oil pump. Engine was clean as a whistle internally. Put a kit in the carburetor.

The underside of the car is dry and clean...almost no dripping.

Car cranks, runs, shifts, and drives great. A pleasure to drive. The dual exhaust sounds fantastic. I\'ve driven the car a couple hundred miles. My grandson took his girlfriend to the prom in it and got a ton of attention!

Here are the issues I\'ve found:

When I first got the car the oil pressure light flickered at idle after the engine got up to operating temperature. I put a good gauge set on it and sure enough: 75 lbs oil pressure cold, 5-10 lbs. hot at idle. Pulled the oil pan and the mains (crankshaft) bearings showed a moderate amount of wear, so replaced those with std. size Mahles. Also replaced the oil pump while I was in there, although the existing pump looked great. The crankshaft journals looked good, and I plastigaged the rod bearings and they were fine. Cylinder walls looked good, and the engine overall was extremely clean internally. Put that all back together and ZERO change in the oil pressure 70+ cold idle, 25 lbs. at 2500 rpm hot, and maybe 5-7 lbs hot idle.

In researching this I\'ve since learned that low oil pressure at idle is characteristic of these engines.

The engine sounds great, no knocking at all at any temperature. It runs cool and has plenty of power. So, make your own judgement on this.

There is very little evidence of rust that I can find: a dime-sized bubble on the hood and one on the driver\'s door bottom. The front floor pans have been patched. Dings and scratches and cracks here and there on the paint...looks great from 10 ft.

The tires on the car look brand new, but according to the date code they are 20+ years old. They ride very poorly. The heater hoses are not hooked up to the engine. The brakes are NOT power brakes, and, while they seem to work normally, they take some getting used to. The differential front seal leaks a little.

Clear NC title in-hand and in my name.
