Have you ever wanted an acoustic guitar that plays just as easily as your favorite eletric guitar? Well this is it. The 1965 Fender Malibu. The same guitar as used by many big names in the 1960s.
Pros: The neck is amazing...very fast...you can even do string bends and finger tapping on the fretboard. The frets are in good shape, and the action is nice and low. Overall it sounds great and it\'s a really fun guitar to play.
Cons: As you can see from the photos I tried to highlight there is some checking and craking on the back and near the bridge. I\'ve owned this guitar for 4 years and it hasn\'t gotten any worse. I only use 9 gauge electric strings on it to standard tuning, I\'m not one to push the envelope with a heavy acoustic gauge just to see how it will play, so I can only recommend using 9 gauge strings on it. If you like a heavier gauge probably look elsewhere. I\'m not sure if the bridge was ever reglued (possible?) or what cause the damage and checking, I can only write on my experinece since I\'ve owned it but you should factor all this into your offerding and please examine the photos closely as it is a no return item (I have lotsa gear to move). Thanks.
