1967 HOLLEY 4-BARREL CARBURETOR FOR CHEVELLE SS 396
Thissale features a very nice, original factory GM-supplied Holley 4-Barrel Carburetor, part number 3908959. This carburetor was installed on the 1967 Chevelle SS 396 with 350 horsepower, manual transmission, and A.I.R. system.
This model 4160 Holley carburetor is in excellent overall condition and is a perfect candidate for a quality restoration. There is no visible damage to the castings anywhere on the carburetor. I\'ve had it stored indoors in a box for about 10 years. The throttle shafts and butterflys move freely and smoothly. Some of the screw heads and fittings show a little wear, but the important parts (the castings) are really, really nice. A full rebuild and newly plated castings would make this carb perfect for any restoration.
This carburetor was manufactured in the 5th week of January 1967, according to the date code, which makes it a 1967 model year carburetor. The 1 at the end of the date code indicates calendar year 1 in the \'70-\'75 year range.
