1972 Martin D-35S For Sale

1972 Martin D-35S with original case. The S body has a larger upper and lower bout than the D body which gives it incredible sound! Also the neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has a slotted head with Grover machine heads. This guitar has solid rosewood 3 piece back and sides with a solid spruce top. The bound fingerboard and bridge are solid ebony and the fretboard is wider than a D type body. More like the width of a classical guitar. These models are extremely hard to find. I have owned this guitar for 29 years and it has been played nearly every day in my home. There is some light fret and fingerboard wear on the first few frets. There are NO cracks splits or breaks. I had Gruhns in Nashville do a bridge re-set about 5 years ago but it has not nor does it need a neck re-set. There is some finish checking (see pics) on the top and a few nicks here and there but otherwise great condition. The action is low. There are no rattles, buzzes or dead frets. This guitar plays fantastic and the sound is loud clean and clear. If you\'re not familiar with this model, do a little research. It\'s a very unique and rare model.
