Click Thumbnails to American Proof Silver Eagle was originally minted in 1986 and is still minted to this day. From 1986-1992 it was minted at the San Fransisco Mint, from 1993-1999 at the Philadelphia Mint, and from 2000-Present day at the West Point & San Fransisco Mint. The obverse of the coin features Lady Liberty and was designed using Adolf Wienman\'s walking half dollar design. The reverse of the coin features the heraldic eagle and was designed by John Mercanti, 12th chief engraver of the U.S Mint. Each coin has been struck in .999 pure silver and features a mirror like finish.
