Talented, American, Mystery Artist painted this Detailed Nautical, Ship at Sea, scene. It is an Original Antique, circa, mid to late 1800\'s, an Oil on Canvas. A single ship, sails unfurled and with three seamen aboard deck, plies it\'s way through moderately choppy waves, under a grey and ominous sky. While unsigned, this piece quite painterly, with lovely, full brushstrokes and a color palette that gives a warm, somewhat dark, glow. There have been 2 patch repairs, also done professionally - see last images for front and back views.1 1/2\" Wide, Burlwood finish, reverse moulding, is included in this moulding. Frame may be original to the piece due to its patina closelymatching the stretchers.Canvas measures 12 X 18 and is in Good to Very Good Antique condition.Outside measure of the frame is 14 1/2 X 20 1/4 and is in Good Antique/Vintage condition with minor signs of handling/age.Please carefully examine all images for condition.
