About US:

Big Bear Engine Company was originally founded as a division of a larger diesel engine remanufacturing company called Capital Reman in Denver, Colorado. As the company grew the demand for smaller industrial Caterpillar and Cummins crate diesel engines became apparent and Big Bear Engine Company spun off on its own underneath Capital Reman. Today the two companies still work side by side and are located in the same engine manufacturing complex.Today we specialize in engine 3 models: Cummins 4BT Engine, Cummins 6BT Engine and the Caterpillar 3306 Engines. Our talents lie within the finite science of engineering and manufacturing of diesel engines. Big or small we’ve done them all! All of our engines are produced using brand new parts and are assembled to exact OEM tolerances.In addition to new complete and long-block engines we also have the capabilities to remanufacture diesel engines. We can reman cylinder heads, camshafts, crankshafts, blocks, rocker assemblies. Surfacing, grinding, line boring, welding and magnafluxing are in our blood!

Returns:

We understand that getting the right fitting engine or engine component is of the upmost importance. We do our best to match up the engine serial number, arrangement number or critical components list (CPL) to the application you currently have in place as well as provide the most up to date information on the weight and dimensions. NOTE: We cannot guarantee that any engine or component swapped will fit your application. Ultimately it is up to you, the customer, to do your due diligence to make sure our products work with your application and meet local, state and federal regulations.If you would like to return an engine there is a 25% restocking fee plus shipping charges. For parts and component returns there is also a 25% restocking fee plus shipping. These restocking fees are based upon policies directly enacted from our manufactures. We charge this fee because it costs us time and money (shipping fees, storage and handling, re-crating or re-packaging, credit card fees, labor costs etc…)Returns include but are not limited to engines and components that have NOT failed do to manufacturer failure or workmanship. If a part or engine has failed a written engine warranty claim must be submitted and the standard warranty procedure must be followed. All parts and engines not produced by Diesel Kings Industries, LLC (DBA Big Bear Engine Company) will subjected to the manufacturer’s warranty procedures.Returns of engines that have been modified due to customizations or upgrades (Not OEM Spec) or have been started will also not be accepted. All returns must be returned in the original packaging and be in a re-sellable condition. We reserve the right to request a picture of the engine or component prior to return to confirm the condition.If an engine or component shipped via Freight LTL, Air, Container Ship, UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS or other 3rd party is damaged in shipping it is up to you, the customer, to reject the shipment. Please inspect all shipments and make note of defects or damage on the copy of the Bill of Landing. If a ground package (typically less than 95 lbs.) is delivered prior to your knowledge (i.e. left at a doorstep or business) and is damaged, please email or call us immediately so we may contact the shipping company. Warranty claims will be handled via the shipping company. Products damaged or lost in transit, and properly noted, will be replaced as soon as possible.Images from the website may vary from the actual product and are representative in nature. All original manufacturer products, tradenames, makes, models as specified in the privacy policy are for reference purposes only. Written descriptions and build sheets supplied in quotes will act as the baseline for what the engine or component ships with.

Warranty:

Diesel Kings Industries, LLC, DBA “Big Bear Engine Company” warrants that all products and services that are remanufactured and/or sold are free from defects in material or workmanship as specified by the following:NEW & RESOLD COMPONENTS
Warranty coverage for products produced by another manufacturer is limited to warranty offered by that manufacturer.LIMITED OR CUSTOM REPAIR WORK
Big Bear Engine Company strongly recommends that certain parts be replaced in the remanufacturing process. Any deviation from our recommended procedures can be made at dealer’s request; however, warranty coverage for components which are not fully remanufactured according to Big Bear Engine Company standards is limited to the dollar value of the original invoice for a period of six months from the date of first installation.REMANUFACTURED CAMSHAFTS, LIFTERS/FOLLOWERS, CONNECTING RODS, CRANKSHAFTS, CYLINDER HEADS, CYLINDER BLOCKS, ENGINES
Big Bear Engine Company warrants its remanufactured products to be free from defects in material or workmanship and provides a warranty that includes 12 months unlimited miles of which the first 6 months will include parts and labor. The second 6 months will include replacement parts or components either new or remanufactured to OEM specifications.BIG BEAR ENGINE COMPANY WARRANTY
For its remanufactured parts and components, Big Bear Engine Company will pay for all parts and labor needed to repair the warranted failure to the functioning condition existing immediately prior to the failure. Labor will be paid in accordance to the published flat rate times to a maximum of $30 per hour. No premium, overtime, or holiday rates will be allowed. Only Big Bear Engine Company approved parts will be used in making the repair. Big Bear Engine Company will pay for the lubricating oil, antifreeze and filter elements that are not reusable due to warranted failure.SELLER’S LIMITED WARRANTY
Unless otherwise stated in the limited warranty contained in literature that is shipped with any product (in which case such product literature limited warranty will apply), Seller warrants to Buyer that the products sold by Seller to Buyer will be free from defects in design, workmanship and materials under normal use for a period of one (1) year after the date of shipment by Seller. Products may be returned to Seller only in accordance with the Warranty Claim Procedure. Upon a verified breach of the foregoing limited warranties, Seller will, at its sole option, repair or replace the defective product. Any defective product that is repaired or replaced is warranted only for the balance of the initial warranty period. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Seller does not warrant, and such limited warranty will be null and void, if any product fails to perform or is defective because of accident, casualty, misuse, abuse, alteration, Act of God or public enemy, vandalism, tampering or because of improper setup, operation, repair, maintenance, testing or unauthorized service. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE
If the dealer adheres to the following procedure in strict detail, all warranty claims will be processed within thirty (30) days of receiving the completed claim form and the failed parts. Any failed parts provided by Big Bear Engine Company must be returned uncleaned and accompanied by the following information:(1) Copies of all work orders and receipts for all parts used in the original/installation.
(2) The original invoice.
(3) Copies of all work orders and receipts for all parts used for the repair of the failure.
(4) A completed warranty claim form.Give as much detail as possible, including a description of the operating system prior to failure. Warranty material must be sent to Big Bear Engine Company freight prepaid. If the claim is accepted, the freight charges will be credited back to the dealer. Do not combine warranty material and core shipments and do not list more than one failure per claim form. Parts involved and claims become the property of Big Bear Engine Company upon acceptance of the claim settlement. For denied claims, parts will be returned to the dealer at his expense if requested within thirty (30) days. In order for warranty claims to be processed, failed parts must be returned within (15) days of initial claim filing or claim will be denied.
