24\" Adorable Antique SFBJ Laughing Jumeau ~ 236 ~ For Sale

Offering for your offerding consideration an adorable 24\" antique SFBJ ~ Laughing Jumeau ~ Mold # 236. Fine quality French bisque with an expressive smile. Big brown sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes. Rosy red flawless cheeks and an open/closed mouth with a modeled tongue and upper teeth. The head is incised ~ SFBJ / 236 / Paris / 11. ~ There are a couple of pin sized dark spots but there are no hairlines, chips or repairs to the bisque. She wears a strawberry blonde French human hair wig with bottom edge curl and cardboard pate. Wig is labeled. She has her original chunky, fully jointed, composition, toddler body with a slant hip. It retains the original paint, finish, toe lines, rouge at the knees and on the tops of the feet. It does have some small paint rubs, chipping on the hands and paint touch ups on the inside of the hip joints. The stringing could be a little tighter. She has the need to sit more than she stands. Her antique (very pale pink almost more apricot) silk dress is delightful. It has silk ribbon and lace accents. Ribbon rosettes at the waist. Top layer on the skirt is a patterned sheer fabric with silk layer below. The bodice is lined. Back button closure. Her matching bonnet with ties is wonderful. Gathered silk with accents of ribbon and lace and is fully lined. The edge around the facial area is wired. Her underclothing consists of a creme colored knit wrap around undershirt and vintage knit panties. Creme colored knit socks with black leather shoes.
