This listing is for a really scarce set of 24 identical, still originally packaged antique place cards. They are in perfect condition, and are marked \"Saxony\", which was really Germany. At this time, the Edwardian Era through the early 1920s, folks weren\'t happy buying German items, because of WW1. Saxony was a German possession, and not a lot of people recognized Saxony as actually Germany. Newman Publishing in New York was a third party that imported and then sold these, and lot of other, die cuts, place cards, invitations and others. By the 1930s, this all stopped, when Germany invaded Poland. ALL the paper and manufacturing was turned to the War effort (WW2). Its really hard to find a complete set, still with the original wrapper, in this condition. Since they feature a girl with a bouquet, they are great for just about any celebration.
