Up for sale is a strong, antique, french, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid Douglas Fir core with 3/16" Birch veneers and features beveled glass lites.Unfortunately, four of the glass lites are missing. However, we could either custom cut new pieces from our collection of old glass, or we could order new glass lites (i.e beveled, tempered, leaded, stained, etc.) and install them, --Email us a for a quote.Please don\'t think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 3/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the door.Although this is an interior door, it can also be used as an exterior door.Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our store).

Condition:
On the exterior side of the door, one piece of molding is broken and several other pieces of molding are missing.On the interior side of the door, there are 2 scrapes on the bottom rail.

Otherwise, this door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches,small nail holes--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted.Quirks & Considerations: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point, most likely to accommodate an old warped floor or settling foundation. Refinish/Repaint:We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish.See the last photos in this sale as an example of our work.Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you a quote.

Swing: The door is currently set up to swing inwards, towards the Left. However, we can modify the door to swing in the opposite direction. --Email us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, make molding, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you a quote.
