"50 Masonlite 'Quicksilver' electrodes, 12mm (12/30CQ) 'New Old Stock'.Lead glass, tubulated, with ceramic sleeves, and stranded leads.
'Masonlite' is now out of business.
These electrodes have a measured amount of mercury sealed in a capsule within the electrode.
The neon tube is processed and filled like an ordinary tube, except no mercury is added. Once the tube is sealed (tipped off), the mercury capsule can be opened by means of an induction heater, or, by applying high voltage from a magnetic transformer with one wire on the usual electrode lead, and the other wire on the special 'center' wire on the electrode. (Warning: do not connect bombarder wire to the center electrode wire during bombarding.) After the capsule is opened, and the mercury is released, the tube can be burned in in the normal way.

You can pair these electrodes with any quality non-tubulated electrode.
These electrodes were designed so that the operator never had to come into contact with mercury, and they dispensed what the manufacturer thought was an adequate, consistent amount of mercury.
