We have an adorable group of free-range blue egg layers on our farm. They are Whiting True Blue, Cream Crested Legbar and Ameraucanas. The Whiting True Blue and Ameraucana hens have the best beards! The 15 hens live with one rooster of each breed. We incubated 18 of their eggs on July 20th and 14 of them hatched! We were amazed at the success rate. The eggs are varying shades of beautiful blue and they are fed a non-GMO, soy-free high protein feed in the morning to start the day.
