DESCRIPTIONAmos and Andy drink and wet rubber baby doll. Released after the success of the Amos and Andy radio show in the late 1940's. These dolls are hard to come by and most have not aged well. Cracking and or chipping of the rubber is common, sinking in of the head, missing fingers and / or toes, paint loss to the hair and face. This doll has suffered the sunken head fate, no cracking or chipping to the rubber, all toes and fingers are still on the doll. Some paint loss to the hair, not too bad. Original clothing no longer with the doll, Someone made a vest for this doll, there is a hole in the vest. Presumably one would dress this charming doll better.Doll is 10" tall, Jointed. Marked on back: Amosandba, Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc., designed by Ruth F. Newton, Mfd. by the Sun Rubber Col, Bareerton, O., U.S.A., Pat. 2118682, Pat. 2160739. A wonderful addition to your doll collection.
