Offered here is a stunning Art Nouveau moth or flying cicada brass brooch accented with small topaz glass rhinestones. It\'s a remarkably detailed brooch. Flying cicadas, moths, grasshoppers, spiders and other insects inspired the jewelers working in the Art Nouveau aesthetic which sought to return design to a more natural composition. The c-clasp is in good working order though the pin is bent. It is missing a tiny rhinestone on the edge of the wing. It\'s in good antique condition with expected wear from age and usage.
