A antique Daley 4 quart no. 40 glass butter churn with cast iron geared beater attached to 4 wooden blades.
The glass jar is embossed \'40\' Circle embossed Daley churn & mfg. Co. St. Louis , u.s.a. Below is made in America. Bottom of glass is number 562.
It stands 14\" tall with beater in place 9.5\" from rim of jar to base. The jar measures 6 x 6\" at the base.
This is not a reproduction probably made prior to 1920.
The wooden paddles have are worn with use but the beater works fine. There is nice patina on the lid but is missing the wooden handle for cranking.
Found on my grandmother farm in Eastman Georgia.
