Very rare and exquisite antique porcelain creamer/vase in the Neoclassical style
Produced and decorated by Richard Klemm* Dresden c 1890
*Richard Klemm was a very famous German artist who established his porcelain decorating studio in Streisen, by Dresden in 1869. He decorated pieces in the style of Meissen, Royal Vienna and the typical Dresden style. Klemm registered hismark in 1880.
This lovely creamer is a very rare find in a very unusual Neoclassical style, different from Richard Klemm usual production of flowers and portraits in vivid colours. It reminds the Etruscan heritage with a central frieze with scenes from the mythology on a forest green/anthracite background.
Beautiful work on the foot and the top with in relief padded like decoration
Marked on the underside with Richard Klemm Dresden logo
Excellent condition, gilding has faded
