These film safes first appeared in 1920, from information gleaned this safe was acquired in early 1921 and was used in a dental office located in Peterborough.
Measuring 6 1/2\" x 2 1/2\" x 1 3/4\" overall its\' lead alloy construction weighs in at a hefty 802 grams!
The safe has a powerful spring loaded door which opens to reveal two compartments each able to hold 24 films.
As can be seen it has been painted, probably to blend in with the omnipresent pale medical green of the era.
Excellent condition and imminently collectible.
