Company History: Ford\'s China was a China manufacturer at Cannon Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, England from ca. 1854 until 1917. The company was named after it\'s founders, Thomas & Charles Ford, who operated under T & C Ford until 1871 when the partnership was dissolved. Both continued separate operations: Thomas Ford until 1874, and Charles Ford until 1904 when the business was controlled by Harold T. Robinson. The Charles Ford name continued being used until at least 1917. Maker\'s Marks: The plates all have the \"Ford\'s China\" name below a Swan containing the \"CF\" monogram of Charles Ford. Since this does not include \"England\" it is likely that this mark, and these plates, were manufactured prior to 1892. Condition: Very good antique condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. Light wear to the gold trim exists and light shelf wear and light utensil marks may be present.
