Offered here is this Antique Hand Colored Artwork Portrait. The piece is hand colored, and the description of the little girl can still be seen slightly where it is written on the back of the piece. I am unsure of the age or origins of the piece. It looks quite old to me, and I would guess that it most likely dates to the 19th Century. It is a beautiful antique frame that is ornately carved and has gold metal accents at the corners. There are a few places where the frame has some light damage, primarily on the applied moldings around the outer edges. These areas can be seen in the photos. There are some damaged areas on the art as well, where the color is chipped off leaving the white showing through. Fortunately, these areas are mainly in the background of the piece, and the image of the girl is still in remarkable condition. The glass is intact in the frame as well. The entire piece is 24” tall, 20.5” wide, and the display area is 20” by 16”. The art piece is loose within the frame and will need to be re-secured. This is an amazing hand colored antique portrait. It is an amazing piece that would be a must have addition to any antique art collection.
