• This bowl stands 3½\" high and weighsmore than two pounds. The scans below give top and bottom views:
• There are no maker\'s marks or other indications of who may have madethis bowl or when. It was part of a large estate we recently purchasedand it was marked as \"antique.\"
• From its style and array of splotcheson the inside and bottom, it surely appears to be quite old. The outsidecoloring is a splattered blue against an off-white background; theinside of the bowl has more of an eggshell patina.
• Condition: There is a chip along one edge of the rim, about1½\" long, revealing the red clay of which the bowl was made, andthere is a hairline crack running up from the inside bottom. There isalso some faint crazing and a scattering of light splotches. The scansbelow give a closer look:
