An amazing piece imported from Italy in the late 90\'s by a very well known San Diego Interior Designer. This piece is gorgeous! It has a hidden locking compartment in the top drawer. There is an internal locking mechanism that locks the writing desk as well as the drawers. The key is original and works the mechanism perfectly. There looks to be an inlaid gold design around the outer perimeter of the writing surface. I can\'t say enough about this piece.
