This beautiful mahogany sloped lap desk was purchased at an estate sale recently. It has been dated back to mid 19th century. When opened, it features 3- bird\'s eye maple veneered drawers.
The middle drawer is actually a false face, with a hidden drawer behind it that slides out to the side. It does come with a workable key, and the lock appears to be the right period. However, I am not completely sure.
As I stated in description, it looks to have been restored at one time. It is fairly large, measuring 21\" L x 19\" W x 11\" H, and weighs about 17 lbs.
