The most stunning piece in my whole collection! I have owned this since 1980. Very sheer silk crepe material with lace and seed pearl trim at the neck and cuffs. There is boning - thin metal covered by fabric. Additional embellishments with a sash. I have pinned the lace neck at the back (red headed pins) as there are no fasteners above the string tie at the lace portion. Not sure historically if women were pinned in since the lace is too fine for buttons or hooks? Below that is all hook and eye closures. There are stains and several holes in the fabric. Stunning and unusual to have one preserved like this - very fragile and delicate due to age. Please see photos. This will ship flat and minimally folded.
