This photograph of a man is either a daguerreotype or ambrotype in a full case from my MIL\'s photographic collection. She passed away last year so am going through her possessions to determine what to sell. No one in the family knows who this man is, the main speculation is that he is a relative possibly from Germany since my MIL\'s great grandparents immigrated here from there. I believe the case to be made of wood as it is clearly not leather.
Condition: good condition considering its age. There is a little bit of tarnish on the gold around the picture. The click clasp is functional.
