Up for sale is a Russell & Beach antique apothecary weight set. Russell and Beach was established in 1840 in Chester Ct. What little info that is out there states they made cast iron oven doors for fireplaces and cast iron waffle irons . In 1851 Beach sold out and it became Russell, Burdsall & Ward . They started making screws. I would put these weights as being made between 1840 and 1890.
The set includes weights of 4lbs, 2lbs, and 8oz. These are perfect for collectors of antique scales and weights. The set is in excellent condition and ready for use or display. Shipped with USPS ground.
