ANTIQUEONE GALLON SALT GLAZESTONEWARE JUG
This is a onegallon salt glazecirca1870-1900storage jug.Found recently in central Virginia, it measures 9-1/2\" tall with a diameter of 7\" at the bottom. It features:
- variable color salt glaze on the exterior
- a 1\"tall pour spout
- unglazed interior
- an applied handle
Thejug is invery good condition with no hairlines, cracks or chips. The shoulder is marked with the Roman numeral one (I) in a circle.
A terrific example of a utilitarian piece of late 19th century pottery!
