ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE CAST IRON BASE AND OAK WOODSWIVELSEAT SODA FOUNTAIN STOOL WITH OLD NAVY BLUE PAINT

This was a recent and exciting find in historic Petersburg, Virginia. It is a circa 1890-1920 primitivesoda fountain stool. It measures 25-3/4\" tall with a diameter of 10-1/4\" at the top and 8-1/2\" at the bottom. It features a swivel and removable oak wood seat, a heavy cast iron base, four holes in the base where it was once attached to the floor, and old blue paint on all surfaces.

It remains in very good condition. There is wear over the entire stool, and the brackets under the seat were moved at some time in the pastdue to wear and probably becoming loose in their original placement.There is pitting and paint loss on the cast iron base.

An exceptionallynice, very old and well-used primitive stool with a great country look!
