Postal service mail drop box that was used years ago by the post office. Piece you see inside in last photo is the mount that fits on the back. This item is in good shape and would make a wonderful conversation piece. I personally would not even touch up the paint since the rust helps show how old it is and lets people know it\'s real. Manufactured in 1949 (stamped on bottom in large numbers). I saw one appraised on tv for $1200.00 to $1500.00 at sale. this is cast iron and weighs about 85 lbs so shipping is pretty expensive. UPS ground is about 90 to 150 dollars depending on your location.* I see 2 others on going for $1200.00 and one for $1499.00. This one appears to be in as good or better shape to me I will be putting a reserve on it to protect my investment. Buyer pays shipping. Message me with questions.
