Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Vintage Carved Wood Sculpture. Nice Black Forest carved Victorian shoes. Probably late 1800s to early 1900s. Hand carved. The pair of shoes are highly detailed. Nice patina . They are attached to a carved leaf base with screws. The holes on the top of each shoe are not very deep so probably not for matches, possibly for candles( although no wax at all and this was a display piece in its previous collection). Good condition for age. There are no chips, breaks, or repairs. Very minor scuffs and dings may be noticed typical for age and use. Base measures about 6\" square and about 4\" tall at extremes.
