, LOW OPENING!!!This beautiful antique bow from a tribe of the Algonquian Nations of the Eastern Unites States and is exremely old. The bow is in very good condition for being an estimated 300 years old or older. There is some worming on one end.The bow appears to be made of Mulberry probably from the Virginia/Maryland regions. It measures 61\" in length and is about 1 5/8\" at the grip area. It is a tapered bow, with a rounded back and a flat belly.One nock measures 1/2\" and the other about 3/4\".The back has an original yellowish dye finish that is very worn in places, especially at the ends near the nocks.The color runs the entire length of the bow. I braided a string out of artificial sinew and two Turkey feather for display. Again, I have sold lots of vintage Native American bows, and this is a rare beauty.
