Antique WWI Trench Art Table Lamp 3\" Diameter Floral Relief Shell 33\"H U.M.C. For Sale

I am pleased to offer this Antique WWI Trench Art Shell Lamp!

This lamp was made of a Large tank or AA shell, which measures approx. 3\" diameter on the base (75mm?). The base is marked \"U.M.C. Co Bridgeport, Conneticut\" and \"11-98\".

The bottom half of the brass shell is engraved with a high relief floral pattern and a textured background.

The shell was hollowed out and has a rod running through that holds the electrical cord.

The top of the lamp has a Leviton fixture and a brass finial, but no shade.

The shell sits on a thick early bakelite/resin pedestal base. Each piece is separate, and not permanently fixed to each other (i.e. comes apart in 4 pieces)

The lamp was tested and is in working condition, and the power cord show very little wear from age.

Measures approx. 33\" Total Height with a 10\" Diameter base.

*NOTE: This lamp will be disassembled for shipping. I will provide instructions for you on how to assemble it.*

Condition:

This antique Trench Art Lamp is in good condition for its age. The brass shell shows some dark patina, and light scratching. The metal \"fake\" projectile piece shows some mild oxidation. The early bakelite/resin base shows some moderate scratching, light staining, and some nicks along the edges. Tested and working.
