Up for sale is an antique tea cup and saucer in a very ornate Japanese pattern. The set is made by Minton, please see the pictures from Michael Berthaud's 'An Anthology of British Cups'. The mark is barely legible but it's outline is similar to those used by Minton and Boyle partnership in 1836-41. The set is made of felspar porcelain and hand painted.
Cup height: 2 3/8" (6cm)
Cup diameter: 4" (10cm)
Saucer diameter: 5 1/2" (14cm)
This lot is part of a large collection of early 19th century English porcelain that I will be listing over the next weeks. Please check my other sales for more collectable tea cups.
I will pack safely, with lots of bubble wrap and packing peanuts, and will ship in a sturdy box.
