This fabric piece is a beautiful throw in a paisley pattern in rich browns, shades of reds and orange, with touches of green, blue, turquoise and black in the detailing. I spoke with an expert and they stated that this piece of weaving is real Jacquard loomed, possibly Scottish, and ranging from 1880\'s to 1920\'s. This is a shawl or a throw, but many used these draped on tables.
The piece measures 70 inches by 70 inches. (About the same size as a shower curtain). Obviously it isn\'t synthetic but a fine wool. It is not fragile. It has not been much used.
I do not accept returns due to the number of times I have experienced scams on line. I will accept a return if you ship the item back in the exact same condition. Then I will refund your money minus a handling fee of $20. Any alterations to the piece and I will not refund. I have almost 100 photos of this which will be used for a professional comparison. This is too expensive a piece to lose.
I have described all imperfections to the best of my ability.
There is only one similar piece available online. The colors are different however.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability. I myself have only found similar, once before 20 years ago in the West Village store \"Imaginary Gallery\" which imported things from the far East. This is a copy of the Asian originals, but was made on the advanced Jacquard loom.
