Antique unmarked Silver Sewing/Embroidery/Drizzling Set - probably German c. 1880/90s. I believe the silver to be European 800 silver handles. The blades on the tools are steel. The set comprises of a seam knife, fine crochet hook, stiletto and needle case. The bodkin is missing but in its place is a steel leather needle which might have been a contemporary replacement. The needle case has a very small dent in one side. The thimble has an indistinct German 800 silver mark and a cornelian or glass top - there are no holes and it is in round. The scissors do have some age but they do not fit snugly into the compartment being a couple of mm too long. They are are chromed steel - maybe another near contemporary replacement. The box clasp is broken but could be replaced easily. It has a maroon outer, cream silk lining and has no markings. It measures 19xx13.5x2cm closed.
I have noticed in the first photo that the tools don\'t appear to fit in the spaces for them - I must have knocked the box whilst photographing it as the tools are all the right size for the compartments - except for the scissors and needle.
