Thisis a Bushing Machine that was purchased some time ago, from MasterClockmaker Joe K. As Joe explained it to me, hewas quite satisfied with the Bergeon Bushing system, but felt thatthe bushing machine itself needed some improvements, and re-engineered the machine.
This Machine is based on the dimensions ofthe “Original” Bergeon system, but has a longer neck to supportthe boring arm and thicker boring arm made of Rockwell Steel. Ratherthan using the screw clamps of the KWM or Bergeon systems, it usesrubber covered thumb clamps. These are used in the higher endindustrial applications in order to better protect the plates.
At the time of mypurchase from Joe, he had left the stump for the base in his shop,and so it sat for a year in my basement. As I said, this isdimension-edto the old Bergeon system, so when Itried a replacementstump from a retailer, it was the correct height, but the OD for thebase was larger than the stump hole. I am including the incorrectstump with the machine, perhaps you have the skill to make the newsystem work. When I saw Joe next, he gave me the correct stump andthe reamer I has bought from the retailer worked perfectly. So thecurrent Bergeon reamers available on the market work fine.

Condition: As Istated, this machine sat for over a year unused, and there is alittle surface rust on the body of the machine whichdoes not affect its operation. While processing one overly largehole, I became a little too aggressive and the reamer jammed. When itjammed the pressed handle spun free; I have fixed the problems the handle has been welded onpermanently.
